TICKETS TORN IN HALF:October12,1971-TRAFFIC @Academy of Music TRAFFIC one of my all time favorite bands, so mellow, actually got to hear the musicianship this night as the sound system was good and so were they.I am extremely happy that they are back together. This is where Winwood belongs not in some Blind Faith thing.
TICKETS TORN IN HALF: JULY 2, 1975: DAVE MASON @ Wollman Rink in Central Park. I jotted no notes in my book about this particular show , just threw the stub in the old mayonnaise jar, but I do remember that this particular show was one full week after seeing PETER FRAMPTON on the same stage and DAVE MASON, while a solid guitar player, did basically nothing for me. I was quite disappointed, except for his TRAFFIC tunes which I loved, and his ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER and the price of $2.00, well, why not? For those who are unaware Mason did play acoustic guitar on HENDRIX’S version of the DYLAN tune. On the 1975 evening I did get some good photos that I tried to sell to CREEM magazine but they had zero interest in Mason at that time.
